Hi Again -
I just wanted to write a quick e-mail to let you know about Joey's progress. First, we call him "Sloppy Joe" after he gets done drinking the water... he comes over and gives "sloppy joe kisses" with the drool!
He came with us up the street yesterday and met their dog. He was really good... a bit bouncy, but really good. We kept the meeting short and left on a good note so that we could continue to have positive steps in the right direction. Joey also came with us out in the field last night and ran around with us... what crazy boxer feet he has! He's just a goofy puppy! He was able to sleep much better last night and today we have had NO accidents in the house. I also took him on a walk in the woods this morning... so he's getting used to our surroundings.
Tomorrow, I am going to see if he wants to come out to do barn chores in the morning... or perhaps he just wants to be a lazy bones like he was this morning and rest on the couch... It is early at 4:30 a.m. to come outside and work... but he'll get used to it!!
So, things are going really well. He is learning to fetch a ball, play tug with a rope and be part of our family.
